The largest ever independent telomere analysis study was recently carried out by Medizen Humancare in Korea, with saliva samples given by test subjects using the company’s saliva collection kit.
Saliva Collection
In order to accurately evaluate the body’s biological age, telomere length needs to be measured. Telomere analysis can be obtained from a sample of saliva which is a painless and simple process.
The saliva test kit is designed to be used by a patient at home and sent to a lab for testing. After receiving the saliva sample and ensuring the completion of necessary consent documents, the lab will then extract DNA from the collected sample for analysis.

Based in South Korea, Medizen Humancare is a research company who provide genetic diseases risk analysis services through genomic testing.
With DNA testing they are able to ascertain the vulnerability of individual patients to various diseases and analyze the direction of future healthcare by considering environmental factors, lifestyle habits, dietary habits, and more.
In accordance with the Bioethics and Safety Act, Medizen Humancare is an institution registered by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) ensured with bioethics and safety that handles research, genes, and other tissues that come from humans or their derivatives.
Instructions for using the saliva test kit
1. Do not drink any liquid (water, coffee or tea) and brush, gargle, or smoke for at least 30 minutes before saliva collection.
2. It is best to collect saliva right after waking up in the morning.
3. It is helpful to rub both cheeks with both hands for about 1 minute before adding saliva.
4. Unscrew the lid of the saliva collection kit and spit out the saliva from your mouth. With an amount of about 3ml, fill to the red line on the outside of the container.
5. Close the lid again and remove the white safety pin.
6. After removing the safety pin, push up the bottom of the container to mix the saliva with the preservative.
7. Shake the kit 5-7 times to ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed.
8. Return the collection kit and completed consent documents in the enclosed envelope to the address provided.
